The equipment used in the arboriculture industry is highly specialised and designed to meet
the high demands of wood processing efficiently and safely. For this reason our company
have invested wisely in the right machinery for the job in hand. Aside from the vehicles
and machinery we have, we are also required to use ropes, harnesses, lowering devices
and PPE (personal protective equipment) to name but a few.

The equipment and vehicles shown below are necessary to carry out the removal or reduction
of any tree from small domestic trees to large parkland species. All branches are processed
into a machine called a woodchipper. Larger timber is cut up into more manageable pieces,
loaded onto vehicles and transported off site.

Tractor, timber trailer and crane
Our job throws us new and old challenges on a regular basis. Probably the most common challenge we face is timber extraction/removal. An often underestimated aspect of tree surgery operations by our customers is the sheer mass and weights of tree materials that has to be removed from site during and after trees are cut. Where access allows we employ the use of our tractor with timber trailer and crane. This unit consists of 135bhp Ford 8240 tractor and a 10 ton timber trailer and Botex crane. It is capable of lifting sections of trunk in excess of 2 ½ tons. This service is also used by other contractors to reduce the ‘man handling’ of heavy timber.

Log Splitter
The timber we extract from our own work sites and for other contactors is stockpiled and re-used. All timber is processed (split) and sold on as firewood. Please contact us for immediate delivery, pickup or trailer load.
